The Lindo Systems product family offers solutions for optimization tasks with different approaches, both in the algorithms used and in the desired method of solving the problem.
The Lindo Systems product family consists of:
- LINGO: Comprehensible modeling language and development environment with solvers for linear, non-linear and integer optimization.
- LINDO API: API for application development or integration of optimization capabilities and solvers in Matlab®
- What'sBest!: Microsoft® Excel add-in for linear, non-linear and integer optimization
Integrated solvers
The basic versions of LINGO, LINDO API and What'sBest! offer the option of integer optimization using the integrated integer solver. Linear models can be optimized using the integrated primary and dual simplex algorithms.
Optional Solvers
In addition to the permanently integrated solvers, there are other optionally available solvers such as the barrier or non-linear solver. An overview of the optionally available solvers and their capabilities can be found ehere.
SolverSuite - the power bundle for beginners
The SolverSuite includes LINDO API, LINGO and What'sBest! in a reduced license class.
